Belly Landing in Russia
Bf-109F-4 of Gruenherzgeschwader, belly landed at Eastern Front in 1942 – 1/144 scale Vignette

I have not yet found a reliable source that provides information on how the belly landing of this Bf-109F-4 occurred. What is clear is that the aircraft belonged to the 9th Group of Jagdgeschwader 54, the so-called Grünherzgeschwader. A historical photo showing the Yellow 8 lying on its belly is dated Russia, 1942.
